With RoomOne’s business encompassing so many different areas, including ecommerce, order management, customer service, manufacturing, scheduling, service management, and so many more, they knew that they would need more than one system to manage all aspects of their business. However, they wanted to make sure that all solutions are integrated seamlessly to facilitate an integrated management system.
RoomOne was still operating on Magento 1.9.X, due to the complexity and challenge of reconnecting all the legacy systems to the upgraded commerce instance. As part of this systems redesign, they also wanted to move to a more modern and a hosted ecommerce platform.
Reducing the total cost of ownership of the technology stack – both with Ecommerce and ERP was one of the key requirements. In addition to reducing the TCO, RoomOne was also looking for consolidated reporting that could allow them to make critical business decisions quickly.
All the initial goals at the beginning of the project were realized – including single integrated system that allows Room One to manage all aspects of their business; Good consolidated reporting that allows effective decision making; Resolution of inventory, purchasing and AP challenges.
