American Meadows started out as a legacy mail order retailer running legacy systems that were not as robust or scalable as they needed them to be. Further, the legacy systems were complicated, and it was time-consuming to train its seasonal staff how to use them, which became an annual challenge. American Meadows key goals were:Elit semper consectetur in tristique lobortis tortor metus cursus rhoncus. Enim sit vitae ac vitae aliquet. Felis purus imperdiet neque commodo. Launch Project
American Meadows needed to improve how they tracked visitor actions on their site, then utilize that information to create active promotions and find new leads. To do this, they needed a new Customer Management System (CMS) fully integrated with Accounting to create loyalty programs, track effectiveness of promotions, and improve marketing success.
One of the biggest challenges American Meadows faced was warehouse management. They were shipping from four warehouses: one at AMI, plus three external warehouses provided by 3rd-party logistics firms (3PLs). To avoid double-shipping or any out-of-stock situations, they needed the warehouses to pull orders from the new ERP, maintain the product bin locations, and update inventory automatically.
The seeds and flowers that American Meadows received from its supplies were being inventoried in pounds, then sold in ounces. Their goal was to make sure the new ERP would manage the production of these seed packets as they were kitted from pounds to ounces. Further, they wanted to assemble related plants into product kits in the warehouse.
By implementing integrated Financials with Customer Management, Distribution, and Warehouse management, American Meadows had their single source of truth. Acumatica’s distribution module coupled with Kensium’s customization of the shipping processes has resolved AMI’s warehouse and shipping issues by vastly improving its ability to manage inventory control and drop-shipping. Back-end processes are now much more efficient.

With Acumatica and its connection to Magento, AMI’s online orders now flow into the financial system in real- time. Order information is automatically sent to all departments, eliminating manual data input into various software and reducing errors. Avoiding delays and problems in processing and shipping customer orders efficiently boosted customer satisfaction and kept buyers returning frequently and on an annual basis, essential drivers of American Meadows’ business strategy. Executives now have a high level of access to data that they previously lacked, critical to decision making.
