Quality Analyst

Overview

Kensium is currently seeking an Analyst to join our Quality Assurance Team. You’ll play an integral role in an exciting and fast-paced team where the sky is truly the limit.

Rolls and Responsibilities

• Understand application and client business requirements.
• Be familiar with different test tools, defect tracking tools, and other tools supporting the testing life cycle, and their usage.
• Develop test cases and prioritize testing activities while working on multiple projects by adjusting to a fast-paced environment.
• Create a traceability matrix to ensure test coverage aligns with all requirements.
• Identify risks and communicate them to senior stakeholders throughout all project phases.
• Execute all test cases, report defects, and define the severity and priority for each defect.
• Perform retesting and regression testing when changes are made to the code to fix defects.
• Prepare status reports and publish them to all stakeholders.
• Regularly update Test Leads about the progress of testing activities.

Experience and Skills

• 3-4 years of experience in testing web and mobile applications.
• A team player with good verbal, written, and communication skills.
• A self-starter who can learn quickly and identify, communicate, and escalate issues as required.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment.
• Review the Business Requirements document to understand the architecture and functionality of the application, along with the Test Lead and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of giving level of effort estimates is a plus.
• Knowledge of writing SQL queries is a plus.
• Experience in performing functionality testing, covering all client requirements while maintaining traceability for existing and new requirements.
• Experience in preparing use cases for business flows is a plus.
