ParkingZone Thinks Outside The Lines Of The Parking Industry

ParkingZone is one of the largest parking supply companies in North America, offering over 1,700 items through their website. But despite its size, the company is not afraid of innovation. While ParkingZone is a distributor of third-party parking supplies, they also manufacture, patent, and distribute their own products. This passion for product R&D has set ParkingZone apart from the competition by bringing unique ideas like the Gorilla Post System and the ParkingZone Auction House to life.

The Gorilla Post System

Gorilla Post is ParkingZone’s patented, ADA-compliant mounting base for any type of post or sign. Using six neodymium magnets, each base produces a vertical lift of 380 PSI that locks traffic delineatorsprotective bollards,  and signposts in place. ParkingZone offers the entire Gorilla Post system with multiple options including post diameter, post color, reflective striping, and stanchions. These customizations give Gorilla Post an endless supply of traffic and pedestrian applications. If you operate a parking garage, using delineators and signposts on top of the Gorilla Post helps control traffic and notify drivers of parking and driving rules. Meanwhile, restaurants, nightclubs, and entertainment venues can use the stanchion attachments for crowd and line control.

As one of ParkingZone’s top products, Gorilla Post has its own branded website where customers can buy, compare,  and accessorize the entire system. The website also features a tutorial video series informing you how to install the system for specific purposes such as maintaining the flow of traffic on a highway during construction, or how to set up an effective valet line in front of a restaurant.

The ParkingZone Auction House

The ParkingZone Auction House is the first-ever online auction site for used parking supplies and has proven to be popular within the parking industry. The site was the result of an idea from Mark Curtis, the president and CEO of Pacific Cascade Corp., ParkingZone’s parent company. “As a major supplier of parking lot equipment and supplies, we are in tune with the needs of the industry, and we often get calls from customers wanting to find someone interested in their surplus equipment,” says Curtis.

This is something no other parking supply company has even thought about doing. The website serves as a facilitator for private sellers or parking garage managers that have old, unused equipment. Users create profiles to bid on items or can choose to buy the items immediately at a set price. The ParkingZone Auction House’s bidding system means that you have an opportunity to get massive savings on parking equipment by bidding low and waiting out the clock.

If you’re looking to make some extra cash, you can sell your old equipment on the website as well. ParkingZone gives you your own product page and the freedom to lay out your own marketing content. They even have a plan to completely phase out ParkingZone products from the site, to turn the Auction House into an independent marketplace for all buyers and sellers of parking equipment.

Major Discounts On Parking Solutions

If you’re looking for any discounts, your first move should be to create a new ParkingZone customer account. This will notify you of any specials or sales going on at a given time. Tiered pricing is featured on many of their product pages, letting you save more when you spend more. Sign up for the ParkingZone mailing list, and you will receive a free newsletter filled with promos every few weeks. You can also browse their daily Specials page, which has discount prices on specific parking supplies.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, ParkingZone has taken protective measures within the company that allows them to continue servicing its customers during the pandemic. Remote call answering is now possible for their sales and customer support staff. Their staff can also remotely access their desktops, meaning that orders, quotes, questions on existing orders, and other tasks can still be fulfilled. For more information on their COVID-19 policies, check out the ParkingZone blog.
