Job Description

Responsible for end-to-end project delivery, owns project life cycle activities, planning, writing business requirements and functional specification documents, executing, monitoring and controlling the project, communicating with all levels of personnel related to the project (both internal and external to Kensium), and ensures smooth delivery of projects while effectively managing risks to and from the projects.

Level skills

• Total experience (in IT industry) - 9 to 12 years including 4+ years of experience in Project Management, leading multiple media to large scale projects
• Demonstrates expertise in all the phases of a Project’s life cycle viz., Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Closure
• Ideally from software development background with grass root level knowledge of SDLC and associated processes
• Ensure the successful delivery of all the projects in the organization by working closely with the respective PMs
• Independently delivers multiple large, complex projects or programs, or works independently with PM5 on corporate-wide initiatives
• Partner with the clients, set their expectations to ensure high customer satisfaction • Inherent People Management skills and the ability to lead Programs (multiple projects running in parallel) comprising of cross functional teams
• Support and Coach PMs, help them move to the next level in their careers and enable them to get to speed and delivery projects successfully
• Expert in Risk Management with the ability to influence the PMs to tune their mindsets (to manage risks effectively and avoid issues) so that they can avoid/ minimize the number of troubled projects across the organization
• Groom the PMs in People Management skills and enable them to manage their teams better, focusing on successful project delivery
• Rescues and/or otherwise salvages bad or failing projects with several points of failure
